Kaitlyn + Jace // Romantic & Rustic Barn Wedding in Detroit Lakes

This is a celebration that will be hard to sum up in a written description. All the love, joy, laughter, tears, and sparklers need to be seen - so I’ll try and keep this short. The only thing that surpasses the honor of being asked to capture such a special event like this is being asked to do it twice. I filmed Kaitlyn’s sisters wedding a few years ago and was thrilled when the amazing Vicki (MOB) gave me a ring inquiring about a wedding in Detroit Lakes in the summer of 2014! The rehearsal dinner, yoga, football, kayaking, and getting ready on the wedding day took place at Jace’s Grandpa’s home on Pelican Lake. Through the wind and rain the guys were able to get in a round of golf at Wildflower golf course, and as the wedding day progressed the sky cleared and the weather couldn’t have been more ideal for the ceremony and reception at Five Lakes Resort! A huge shout out again to Vicki who helped coordinate, plan, and execute the perfect wedding weekend. Every location and detail was beautifully appointed and only upstaged by a stunning bride! The weekend was romantic, rustic, elegant, but most of all a celebration. Kaitlyn and Jace’s incredible family and friends were just as excited as they were to send them off on their new journey together with as much love and laughter as possible.
