William + Pamela // Kauai Wedding

Being given a front row seat to a special celebration like a wedding is a huge honor - and it’s amazing how quickly you get to know someone you’ve just met over the course of a day or weekend as you film them. I was lucky enough to have almost a week with Pam and Will as we traveled Kauai telling their story. In addition to capturing some amazing footage they became good friends. As a former Apple employee, master inventor (we’re talking mind-controlled skate board stuff here), IMB genius award winner, TED speaker, and the list goes on… Will, aka Whurley, is one impressive individual. However, as impressive as his accomplishments are, he’s even a nicer guy making him a perfect match for his new wife. Pam’s beauty stole the spotlight the backdrop of Kauai usually has; not an easy task, but even still it was her heart, kindness, and love for her friends, family, and new husband that trumped even her beauty. Together they are kind, caring, thoughtful, fun and most of all best friends. I have so many favorite moments from our time together but their film says it better than any description ever could. Ok, one spoiler. Being the amazing and generous people they are, Pam and Will insisted on sharing the incredible setting of the Secret Beach House with Nick and Kerry-Lee for their engagement. To see that full story please click here. Thank you Will and Pam for inviting me in and allowing me to tell such a beautiful story. Special thanks to the Secret Beach House, The St. Regis Princeville, and as always it was a huge pleasure to shoot alongside the incredibly talented Sea Light Studios. Kerry-Lee + Nick // Kauai Engagement

Kerry-Lee and Nick traveled to Kauai to attend Pamela and Will’s wedding. Being the amazing and generous people they are, the bride and groom insisted on sharing the breathtaking backdrop of the Secret Beach House for their engagement. With some pre-planning, coordination, and just a touch of lying, we convinced Kerry-Lee that she and Nick were going to film a personal message to the new couple - what better excuse to film a 4 camera engagement?! It’s hard to top a proposal in Kauai, but Nick did! Kerry-Lee is from South Africa so Nick took the extra step learning and asking for her hand in Afrikaans. Thank you to Will and Pam for sharing your wedding adventure, and to Nick and Kerry-Lee for allowing me to capture such a joyful moment. Congratulations on your engagement and best wishes! Kaitlyn + Jace // Romantic & Rustic Barn Wedding in Detroit Lakes

This is a celebration that will be hard to sum up in a written description. All the love, joy, laughter, tears, and sparklers need to be seen - so I’ll try and keep this short. The only thing that surpasses the honor of being asked to capture such a special event like this is being asked to do it twice. I filmed Kaitlyn’s sisters wedding a few years ago and was thrilled when the amazing Vicki (MOB) gave me a ring inquiring about a wedding in Detroit Lakes in the summer of 2014! The rehearsal dinner, yoga, football, kayaking, and getting ready on the wedding day took place at Jace’s Grandpa’s home on Pelican Lake. Through the wind and rain the guys were able to get in a round of golf at Wildflower golf course, and as the wedding day progressed the sky cleared and the weather couldn’t have been more ideal for the ceremony and reception at Five Lakes Resort! A huge shout out again to Vicki who helped coordinate, plan, and execute the perfect wedding weekend. Every location and detail was beautifully appointed and only upstaged by a stunning bride! The weekend was romantic, rustic, elegant, but most of all a celebration. Kaitlyn and Jace’s incredible family and friends were just as excited as they were to send them off on their new journey together with as much love and laughter as possible. Being a part of this weekend is something I’ll never forget. Thank you and congratulations to a truly amazing couple! To purchase the music used in their film please click here

Mike + Anna // Elegant Minneapolis Summer Wedding

Mike and Anna had an elegant, beautiful, and overall simply amazing Minneapolis summer wedding. They are two incredible people, with some of the best family and friends you could ask for. True to Minnesota, there was a sprinkling of all types of weather, but with the backdrop of Lake Calhoun, the wedding weekend was stunning and only outdone by an absolutely radiant bride - Mike was looking pretty sharp as well. It doesn’t take long to realize Anna and Mike are best friends and are on their way to living happily ever after. As Bill the father of the bride put it, “In each other you have discovered a mind and heart to match your own; a body and soul that feels like home; you are good and beautiful together.” As always there is so much more I want to say but their film says it better than I ever could. Everything from the rehearsal dinner at Minnesota Valley Country Club, the gentlemen getting ready at the Edina Westin, the ceremony at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, to the reception at Minikahda Country Club, the weekend couldn’t have been more perfect. Special thanks to Joan from Ambiente for coordinating a very special celebration, and it was a pleasure to shoot alongside the talented Karen Feder! I am truly honored to have captured this day. Thank you Anna and Mike and congratulations! To purchase the music used in their film please click here

Tyler + Laura // James J. Hill Library

When I first met with Tyler and Laura we were separated by thousands of miles, however it wasn't long into our google hangout to know they were a very special couple, planning a very special wedding weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota. Every detail was unique and as I’d come to realize, totally them. They met and fell in love while working at Google and their relation began around poetry, literature and adventure. So it couldn’t have been more fitting that they were married in a library, under a beautiful quote by Rumi, and rode off into the sunset on a long board. They are two truly amazing people and it was a huge honor to get to know them and capture their day. Their family and friends were equally as impressive. The entire weekend was filled with laughter, tears of joy, celebration, and meaning. Of course there is so much more I’d want to say but I’ll let their film do the talking - no spoilers. Special thanks to Mimi Design for coordinating and planning such a magical weekend. Everything from the rehearsal dinner at Pazzaluna, yoga and getting ready at the Saint Paul Hotel, shaves for the guys at Heimes, to the traditional and Chinese ceremonies and reception at the James J. Hill Library; everything was absolutely perfect! I had a blast shooting alongside the very talented photographer Andrew Vick. Congratulations Tyler and Laura! Alyssa + Mario // amore

This is not an every day love story; just as they are not your average couple. Alyssa’s wonderful parents were on vacation thousands of miles away in Barbados when fate struck. They were instantly impressed with their hotel manager from Italy, Mario. Thinking he would be a perfect match for their daughter they encouraged them to connect. To say they were right is an understatement. They are both incredibly kind, smart, tender-hearted and head over heels in love. This love is on display for all to see and hear - instead of the common “babe,” they call each other “amore.” Alyssa was stunning in her Vera Wang dress from l’aterlier and Mario couldn't have been more dapper in his classic tux with tails. A principe and his principessa. Every moment of the wedding day felt full of love, joy, and excitement as families came together and a new chapter in Alyssa and Mario's journey began. There is so much more I want to say but their film says it all. From Mt. Olivet to Woodhill Country Club every detail was thought of and beautifully appointed. Special thanks to Pastor MacLean for the wonderful service, the Bruce Henry Band for keeping everyone on the dance floor, and of course Nicolle from Mother of the Bride for planning and coordinating such an amazing day! It was an honor to shoot alongside Kelly Brown as well. This was my first wedding of the season and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple, family, and friends to kick it off! Congratulations Alyssa and Mario! To purchase the music used in this film please click here

Keith + Rob // NYC

It’s hard to know where to begin with Keith and Rob and their New York City wedding. They are two of the nicest, most intelligent, thoughtful, and of course well-dressed (Tom Ford!) men I’ve ever met. In addition to giving me a front row seat to capture such a special celebration, during our time together we also became good friends and I will cherish that forever. As we ventured around Rockefeller Center, Greenwich village, Central Park, and 5th Avenue, they really let me into some intimate moments that highlight what a perfect match these two are. Their family and friends are equally impressive. From skating at Wollman rink, the welcome reception at the Mandarin Oriental, the wedding day at the Greenwich Hotel, to the reception at Locanda Verde, their friends and family lead the way with laughter and tears celebrating Keith and Rob. Every moment felt full of love and excitement. When we began planning to capture their day I had cinematic visions of giant snowflakes gently falling on window panes, a roaring fireplace, a fresh blanket of snow, and so on - basically the perfect, romantic NYC wedding - and that is exactly what we got! There is so much more I want to say about our time together but their film says it all. The speech Keith’s father gave summed it up perfectly, “As your loving family and friends we rejoice and toast this union. Your destiny has been fulfilled.” To purchase the music used in this film please click here

Nate + Ellen

“I get to finally call you my wife. I get to look forward to a world with more possibilities than ever before... all I can really do is say thank you for being more than I ever could have hoped for myself... today I am officially 100% the luckiest person in the world.” And that was just the begging of Nate and Ellen’s amazing wedding in Alexandria, Minnesota! Everything could not have been more beautiful and the weather was perfect. Their rustic and romantic detailing coupled with the lakes of Alexandria was breathtaking. Surrounded by family and friends, Nate and Ellen started their new life together in an amazing celebration of love, laughter, and tears. From the Arrowwood resort to the Theatre Le Homme Dieu everything could not have gone better. What stood out more than anything during our time together was Nate and Ellen’s love for each other. They are best friends and it shows. There is so much more I want to say about this incredible couple and their family and friends but their film says it better than I ever could. It was truly an honor to capture such a special celebration. Thank you and congratulations!!! To purchase the music used in this film please click here

Monica + Max

Monica and Max had an incredible fall wedding in Edina, MN. It was truly the perfect day filled with amazing family, friends, laughter, emotion, and beautiful weather. And if all of that wasn’t enough their insanely adorable daughter Brooke could’t have been more cute. Their love and excitement for each other and their new family radiated through every moment of the day. Monica could not have been more stunning in her AMSALE dress from l’atelier couture bridal, and as for the groom who was looking pretty dapper, as pastor Phenow put it, “Max, you’re never going to look better.” I want to say more but nothing I could write would do justice to this unbelievable couple and their wedding day - and I’m for sure not going to top Sully! Everything from Mount Olivet to Interlachen Country Club was perfect. Their wedding was truly a special celebration and I am so honored to have captured it. I could not be more impressed with Monica and Max and their family and friends! Special thanks to Nicole from b-inspired for coordinating such a perfect day. Nandini + Unmil

It’s hard to know where to begin with Nandini and Unmil’s amazing wedding weekend in St. Paul. The only challenge in telling their story was resisting the urge to dance as I put their film together. The joy, laughter, and celebration was overflowing at every event. From Harriet Island PavilionThe Saint Paul Hotel, to The Great Hall every detail was beautiful and vibrant which fittingly reflected this amazing couple! Of course, I want to say more but their film with the words, laughter, and very impressive dance moves of family and friends says it so much better. Special thanks to Rachelle of Style-Architects for coordinating such a wonderful celebration. I am so honored to have shared this weekend with such a special couple. Thank you and congratulations!
